The Charging Bull at Bowling Green, New York
The Wall Street Bull is a bronze sculpture weighing 3,200 kg created by Arturo Di Modica located in Bowling Green Park near Wall Street in New York City.
The sculpture is a bull, the symbol of strength and power; bending its front legs and with its head slightly lowered as if it were about to charge, it represents the American people facing the financial powers.

Di Modica spent all of his savings, $ 300,000, to create and position the bull after the 1987 stock market crash, as a symbol of American strength and power. The sculpture was the idea of the artist and not of the city, as has been said. In an act of "guerilla art", he carried the statue on December 15, 1989 in front of the New York Stock Exchange as a Christmas gift for the citizens of the Big Apple.
The clamor from the public was growing for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation to place this sculpture in Bowling Green Square at the end of Broadway.
Charging Bull at the Financial District
This sculpture, one of the most photographed works, has become a tourist destination in the Financial District where it is located. In addition, it has unofficially become the symbol of the Financial District, and it is often talked about in the media, always giving it an air of optimism and economic prosperity.
