Konso King Village
Konso (also known as Karati) is a town in southwestern Ethiopia, located on the banks of the Sagan River. This city is 1650 meters above sea level. Konso, whose name comes from the ethnic group of the same name, is known for its religious traditions, its sculptures and the hominid fossils that have been found nearby. The site was considered a World Heritage Site on January 30, 1997, due to its universal cultural importance.
