Grandes Playas de Corralejo

The Grandes Playas are a group of beaches in Corralejo, in the municipality of La Oliva, on the island of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain).

It is formed by the beaches of:

Los Martos

The old

Long

The hole

El Caserón

It comprises a total length of 3 and a half kilometers and a large part of them are within the Corralejo natural park, a beautiful and exceptional natural setting. They are also known as the hotel beaches, due to some hotels that are the only construction within the natural setting, which have been much discussed for their location.

Several of the beaches are nudist and some have small "fortifications" with boulders and rocks as caves or shelters and like most of the island's natural beaches, they are highly protected and cared for by the islanders.

Due to its large size, the occupation is low, despite being one of the places that attracts the most people. Both locals and tourists.

There are very favorable conditions for the practice of the three favorite water sports on the island, such as surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
